Editorial Process
1. Manuscript Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted via our online submission & editorial system:
European Cells & Materials (eCM, ISSN: 1473-2262)
International Journal of Whole Schooling (IJWS, ISSN: 1710-2146)
Manuscripts are first subjected to an initial screening by the editorial office to ensure compliance with the journal’s author guidelines, scope, and relevant standards, as well as the submission of all required documents (for example, studies involving human subjects usually require ethical approval or an ethics approval number). Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
For more criteria, please see the journals' Instructions for Authors page.
2. Pre-Check
Manuscripts that comply with the submission guidelines will undergo a pre-check(quality) by the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) or Editorial Board member designated by the EIC.
3. Peer Review
After pre-Check, all submissions (except the editorial, letters) will be subject to double-anonymized peer review. The reviewers will fully assess the scientific soundness and appropriateness of all methods, analyses, and interpretations of the manuscript. See Peer Review Policy for more information.
4. Revisions and Resubmissions
Minor/Major revisions: After minor/major revisions, the revised manuscript will be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation under a double-blind peer-review process. Based on the reviewers’ comments, further revisions may be required, or the manuscript may be accepted. We recommend authors whose first language is not English undertake English editing before publication, and provide a certificate of language-editing to the editorial office. Even for authors from English-speaking countries, if two or more reviewers consider the language quality to be inadequate and recommend language revision, the authors will be required to undertake professional academic language editing.
Resubmissions: When resubmitting a revised manuscript, authors will fully respond to all reviewer comments and reply them line by line. In order to expedite the processing of revised manuscripts, please be as specific as possible in your response to reviewers. Revised manuscripts should document changes by using the Track Changes mode in MS Word or by highlighting the changes in red or yellow. It is the author's responsibility to make changes as visible as possible and easily identifiable to reviewers.
5. First Decision
In cases where reviewers’ opinions conflict or are inconsistent (for example, simultaneous recommendations of rejection and revision, or rejection and acceptance), the EIC or an Editorial Board member with relevant expertise will evaluate the reviewers’ comments and make a first decision, which may include revision, rejection, or acceptance. If the reviewers’ recommendations are consistent, the first decision by an Editorial Board member will not be required.
6. Final Decision
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection will be made by the EIC based on the peer review or by another Editorial Board member approved by the EIC (who has no conflict of interest with the authors).
Acceptance: In this stage, the authors will receive an invitation to check the manuscript again, with particular attention to key information such as names, affiliations, and funding details.
Rejection: This decision would occur if the EIC or Editorial Board Member feels your work would not be suitable for publication in this current form even after revision.
If authors have strong evidence that the decision on your paper was influenced by scientific misunderstanding or reviewer bias, you can send an email to our Editorial Office through Info@forummmpub.com.
7. Production
Forum Multimedia Publishing carries out production on all accepted manuscripts, including copy editing, layout design, and conversion to PDF/XML. If the journal has joined the Crossref digital registration and identification system, each formally published article will be assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
To ensure transparency in the publication process, the published article provides detailed publication history, including submission, revision, acceptance, and publication dates. The submission date refers to the date on which the editorial office first received the manuscript. The revision date refers to the date on which the editorial office received the final revised manuscript. The acceptance date refers to the date on which the editorial office issued the acceptance email. The publication date refers to the date on which the final version of record was published on the publisher’s website.
8. Post-Publication Discussions
Contributor's Suggestions
Forum Multimedia Publishing strives to provide a better experience for every scholar and continuously optimizes its processes and technical infrastructure. Scholars who have published/submitted with Forum Multimedia Publishing are welcome to provide suggestions to help us improve our services and address any shortcomings.
Letter to the Editor
We welcome readers to submit ‘letters to the editors’ to Forum Multimedia Publishing, providing a platform for constructive feedback, criticism, and discussion on published articles. The EIC will review these letters, and those approved along with important comments will be published of the journal, ensuring valuable insights are shared with the broader readership.
Erratum, Corrections and Retractions
For published articles, you can also provide feedback and complaints directly through our contact page. When our team members receive feedback, we further communicate with the relevant parties to seek verification. If an issue is identified, our editorial staff follows COPE's procedures for handling it, seeking resolution advice from the EIC. The EIC will make the final decision. Necessary measures are made based on the specific circumstances. The final outcome will be communicated to you in a timely manner for notification.
