Executive Editor

Mingzhen Zhang, PhD  

The full professor/Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Basic Medical Sciences of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Deputy Director of the Institute of Medical Engineering, and Outstanding Young Mentor for Graduate Education at Xi’an Jiaotong University.

He focuses on targeted intervention in traditional Chinese medicine and the gut-organ axis. As a corresponding author, he has published over 120 papers in authoritative journals such as Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Science Advances, and Advanced Science. He has been recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University (2022–2024), with 13 ESI highly cited papers, over 9,000 citations, an H-index of 45, and 10 authorized invention patents. He has led more than 10 projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a fund from the American CCFA Foundation, and key research and development projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

He serves as the Academic Editor of Exploration; Editorial Board Member of BMC Gastroenterology and Oncology and Translational Medicine (OTM); Young Editorial Board Member of Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chinese Chemical Letters, Pharmaceutical Science Advances, Journal of Analysis and Testing, Nano TransMed, Interdisciplinary Medicine, View, Military Medical Research, Life Medicine, and Bio Integration.

He is the Standing Committee Member of the Tissue Regeneration Branch of the China Association of Medical Equipment; Member of the Intestinal Diseases Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association; Member of the Extracellular Vesicle Research and Application Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association; Member of the Translational Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Biotechnology Association; and Standing Committee Member of the Integrated Cancer Immunotherapy Branch of the Shaanxi Anti-Cancer Association.

Michael Zhang     

Michael Zhang joined FMP Press as President in October 2025. He graduated from Macau University of Science and Technology with a Master of Business Administration degree for senior executives and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree. With 25 years of in-depth experience in the industry, Michael has successfully achieved cross-border expansion and in-depth development from the traditional Chinese publishing field to the English Open Science publishing field relying on his rich practical experience in corporate management. As the core manager, he adheres to the management philosophy of "Scientific Management, Continuous Innovation, Pursuit of Excellence", focuses on the development trend of Open Science, and is committed to building FMP Press into a trusted academic partner for global researchers, constructing an open, inclusive and efficient global academic exchange ecosystem, and continuously expanding the press's influence and voice in the international Open Science field.

 

Vice President

Jimmy Choi

Jimmy Choi joined FMP Press as Vice President in October 2025. He graduated from Macau University of Science and Technology with a Master of Business Administration degree for senior executives and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree. Core responsibilities include top-level design of publishing strategies, lean optimization of the entire publishing process, establishment of a publishing ethics and compliance system, efficient management of journal operation teams, and expansion of cross-institutional strategic cooperation. With the in-depth integration of academic literacy and management capabilities, he is committed to standardizing publishing processes, upholding academic integrity, deepening industry cooperation, providing core support for the large-scale and high-quality development of the press, and facilitating the efficient dissemination of Open Science achievements.

 

Editorial Manager

Jing Wang

Jing Wang joined FMP Press as Editorial Manager in October 2025. She graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with a Master's degree in Medicine. She leads the journal’s editorial team and oversees day-to-day editorial operations, coordinates the manuscript submission and peer review processes, and provides support to the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board throughout the publication process, ensuring that manuscripts are handled efficiently, consistently, and in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and publication ethics.

 

Publishing Manager

Jun Yang        

Jun Yang joined FMP Press as Publishing Manager in October 2025. She holds a master's degree in Public Health from the Zhengzhou University. Core responsibilities include overseeing the standardization and normalization of journal publishing practices, providing training on publishing policies for the editorial team, and actively expanding external partnerships to support the high-quality development of publishing operations. She has extensive experience in academic publishing and a strong sense of professional ethics, with demonstrated capabilities in publishing development planning and journal team management.
